Read n Seed 5: Fourth Quarter & Final Review of Trash Talk

The end has come and I have completed my book, Trash Talk.

The book had lots of good concepts.  It showed ways to reduce, reuse, and recycle.  It provided lots of statistics of if we did this, instead of that, how much would be saved and protected.  Paper and trees were discussed mainly throughout this book.  Ways to recycle and reuse products before they're completely disposed of.  The most significant things I learned from this book are:
- Ways to reuse products...empty dog food bad as recycle bins, toothbrushes as cleaning utensil
- Statistics of how recycling saves our forests and landfills
- New ideas to continue recycling & reusing
This book was filled with lots of new information for me.  Yes, I try to recycle as much as I can.  This book gave me new ideas to continue and recycle/save even more!  Every little bit counts.  However, this book was a little extreme for me.  Some of there ideas are a little more difficult to follow.  It's a whole new "style" that you'd have to learn to incorporate in your daily life.  I would recommend this book to those who are willing to make these extreme changes.  Otherwise, continue what you've been doing...reuse, reduce, recycle.

  1. I thought that it was kind of a good idea to use dog food bags as recycling! It makes such sense, we have a problem at our house because none of our bags are large enough! Problem solved! It's always good to get new information about how to help the environment, thank you for sharing!

  2. I love that it provided a lot of examples and new ideas for reusing and recycling. I think that is really important because sometimes it is hard to think outside the box and come up with new things.

  4. Sounds like a very informative book with a lot of data and statistics to help you realize things with a bigger picture. I'd be interested to read a little into it, since I am big on recycling. If only more people would try and do the same!
