Hey everyone, sorry there wasn't enough snack for everyone the other day, but here is the recipe so you are able to make as much of it as you want!!
I used mostly organic foods to make it for our class, but i'm sure it would be just fine wherever you get you ingredients...
1 package of 10 inch tortillas
1 container of strawberries- cubed
2 kiwis- peeled & cubed
1-2 apples- peeled & cubed
1 container of raspberries
1 T granulated sugar
1 T brown sugar
~~Mix all these ingredients in bowl. I added a little lime juice so the apples wouldn't brown. Chill until cold or ready to serve.
~~For the chips the directions say to use butter flavored cooking spray. I used real melted butter & spread that on the tortillas. I than sprinkled cinnamon sugar on one side & cut them into slices with a pizza cutter. Lay out flat. Bake at 350 degrees for about 6-10 minutes (8 worked best for my oven) Watch them carefully.
Hope you guys enjoyed it otherwise! There's nothing to really mess up, its all what you like to add & take out & such. Let me know if you have any questions, comments, or want any other snack recipes!! (salsa & fresh guacamole)
Thanks for sharing this Jamie! I loved the tortillas. And I had never heard of fruit salsa before. I will definitely be making this in the future.
ReplyDeleteLove that you chose to bring this, fruit salsa is my favorite salsa.
ReplyDeleteThe fruit salsa was delicious! I was sad that I couldn't eat a ton of it because I'm allergic to a lot of whats in it but I HAD to have a taste. It was very very tasty. Great snack!
ReplyDeleteBrier...you were allergic?!?! Why didn't you tell me? I feel horrible! oh dear....
ReplyDeleteThe snack was absolutely delicious! I thought it was awesome how you got the apples from applefest this past weekend. I have never gone but I've always wanted to go. The apples were absolutely to die for.
ReplyDeleteI loved these! I'm going to make some and share with my friends and family! The baked tortillas reminded me of Cinnamon Toast Crunch (the cereal). YUM! I want some again! By the way, how do you make fresh salsa like what you brought in to our other class?
ReplyDeleteI also loved this snack, it was very unique and a great thing to share with everyone. I had no idea that you made the chips yourself! They were sooo delicious and it sounds like they aren't very hard to make either, might have to make them soon! Thanks
