Share & Voice: The World is Not Enough

I was scavenging through YouTube videos and found some interesting thins.  I was searching for garbage and topics about trash to kind of match up with my book, "Trash Talk."  I came across this music video and sure enough this song is called, "This World is Not Enough" and the artist is cleverly named, "Garbage."
It's kind of a cooky video, not a song that I would normally listen too but the lyrics are what are important.  It talks about we are strong, we are able to heal, we are together in this world, and even though we are all not perfect we know how to survive...we're just too scared to.
So here's the link, feel free to check it out and let me know what you got from the song/lyrics and what you think the artist is trying to get across to us viewers...

  1. I honestly don't know what to think from the video...it was different. It almost felt like they were trying to scare you, or at least freak you out a bit. I think "Garbage" is trying to get across some kind of love story almost and that they want everything but the world isn't enough. I got too distracted with the video so I looked up the lyrics. Reading the lyrics gave me a bit more feel of the video. If anyone else is interested in checking those out, here is a site I found

  2. The lyrics are great. I totally get what your talking about and it makes a lot of sense. The video on the other hand totally lost me. Maybe I just don't pick up on symbolism but I thought that the scene was completely different from the lyrics with no relation to one another. I really enjoyed the lyrics though.

  4. The video is very interesting. I think i have have a hard time listening to the lyrics because I tend to catch the music more. How I see with this video is that the technology that we have now days can lead to destruction.
